A woman singing. She's singing about being in love with a one eyed man. I think she caught him cheating and was talking about what she was gonna do to him the next time she saw him. A friend of mine asked me if I heard it but I haven't. Can anyone help me out?

Sounds like a southern soul song, like Louisiana or Mississippi swamp boogie type music. In fact, it seems to be stuck way back in the back of my head that I have this song, and that it may be done by either Katie Webster or Sweet Miss Coffy. I just don't have the time right now to research it, but if the limited information I have given leads someone else to identify it for you, then I am happy I was able to help.

Thank you so much MIKEW.....I haven' talked to my friend today but listening to that song...sounds about right to me. He said it had a bluesy/jazz sound to it. I'll let you know.

UPDATE......My friend did some research and the version he was talking about was by Irene Reid. I like Gloria's version better!!
