    Lineup of Diana Ross's Concerts

Has the lineup of songs for her new tour changed at all? Also, what changed would you make it it?

For The Supremes segment of her show, I would like to see her put Reflections and Come see About Me back into the set list and remove Baby Love and You Can't Hurry Love, as she did for her show at Radio City Music Hall in Spring 2010.

I think she has added Reach and Out Somebody's Hand which is an excellent addition.

What is the current line-up of Diana's set. The last time she appeared in the UK I think she included some of her bigger UK hits in a change to her US set [[I'm Still Waiting, When You tell Me That You Love Me). Hope she continues her current tour over here although there are no details as yet.

The review I saw of the first concert said Reach Out and Touch was added as a tribute to Nick Ashford; it may have been the closed after I Will Survive.

I wish she had done Remember Me as a tribute to Nick Ashford.

Gosh Koach, me too, I love that song. One of my very favorites by Diana Ross.

"Reach Out And Touch" was in the show in spring 2010 the times I saw it. It has been one of the last two songs. She just added a tribute to Nick while introducing the song. If she adds "Remember Me" as a tribute to him, she would have to change the lyric to "Remember Nick."

Just saw Diana Ross at the Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco [[Sept 16) and at the Marin Center in San Rafael [[Sept 17). She looked and sounded great. The band was smoking. Hopefully I have not missed anything, but I believe the lineup was:

    The Boss
More Today Than Yesterday [[tribute to the Supremes - showed video/photo clips of the Supremes)
    Where Did Our Love Go
    Baby Love
Stop In The Name Of Love
    You Can't Hurry Love
    Love Child
It's Hard For Me To Say [[tribute to Motown - show video/photo clips of 1960s Motown artists)
    Touch Me In The Morning
    I'm Coming Out
    Upside Down
    The Look of Love
    Fine and Mellow
    Don't Explain
Love Hangover [[video montage of Diana taken in Alabama)
    Take Me Higher
    Ease on Down The Road
Theme from Mahogany [[Do You Know Where You're Going To)
    Ain't No Mountain High Enough
    I Will Survive
    Reach Out And Touch

The deck was stacked against Diana Ross at the EnergySolutions Arena.

It was a Monday night in Utah. She was performing in a venue that has all the intimacy and acoustics of a cavernous high school gym. Large patches of the seats above floor level were disappointingly empty.

    Nevertheless, Ross was fabulous.

With three back-up singers, a 10-piece band that includes a funky brass section and six costume changes, Ross proved that she is more than a singer or even an enduring Motown icon — she is an entertainer.

Ross’s “Now Tour” offered a journey through her half-century career. But despite the nostalgic theme, Ross was alive, delivering on her reputation.

With a classy nod to her roots with The Supremes, Ross led the crowd in classics such as “Baby Love,” “Where Did Our Love Go?” and “You Can’t Hurry Love,” while images of the quintessential Motown girl group were projected onstage.

It was during a rousing “Stop in the Name of Love!” that I noticed eight women high in the stands, far from the stage, who were dressed to kill and doing their best Supremes’ choreography. They embraced, held hands and sang along with Ross, sashaying and expertly flashing their palms to “Stop! . . . In the name of love.”

Makenzie Asisi, 27, was wearing a wig that was a close second to Ross’s own voluminous signature ’do onstage. Asisi, her sister Marisa, 33, two cousins and an aunt had accompanied her mother, Maria Eckles, from Orem to see Ross. Their journey confirmed Ross’ impact on popular culture — even in Utah.

“My mom sang these songs every Saturday when she was cleaning the house,” Asisi says. “She passed them down from her generation to mine. My sister and I know all the words.”

The show and the adoring fans proved the staying power of Ross, who began with the gospel music of the Detroit projects, then went on to capture the worlds of popular music and film [[Ross was nominated for an Academy Award for her 1972 role as Billie Holiday in “Lady Sings the Blues”).

Somehow, Ross and her band managed Monday night to turn the concrete, steel struts and terrible sight lines of EnergySolutions Arena into an intimate venue.

Ross, at 67, has left her waifish looks behind and has grown into her divahood. On par with the music was her offerings of spectacular gowns, beginning with white sequins, then changing to red for “I’m Coming Out,” to indigo sequins for “Don’t Explain” [[from “Lady Sings the Blues”) to an eye-popping off-the-shoulder fuschia prom gown for the theme from the film “Mahogany,” “Do You Know Where You’re Going To?” She ended with nearly blinding iridescent gold sequins as she made Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” her own anthem.
