Update on barrett strong nashville honor

The Metro Times on August 8, 2011 carried a story: City Slang: Motown Legend Barrett Strong to be honored in Nashville. This event was scheduled for Saturday, August 28 at BB Kings in Nashville.

Does anyone know the particulars of this event? I checked the Tennessean newspaper web site and there is no story in the paper about it.

Can anyone update? Thank you.

Was he recently elected to some sort of Music Hall of Fame? Is there such an organisation located in Nashville? I think that "The Country & Western Music Hall of Fame" must be there.

Maybe he was recently elected to an "American Music Hall of Fame", which is also located in Nashville?
