    voice of love

i saw this mentioned today as it may be the album release anniversary date. got me thinking about this collection.love the cover art and the NEW songs such as, In The Ones You love , I Hear The Voice Of Love, You Are Not Alone but thought songs such as,... So Close, and You're All i Need to Get by were odd choices.
any thoughts on what songs you would choose
    heres 5 for me,...

never say i dont love you
    more and more
    promise me you try
    going back
    come in from the rain

Apparently Diana chose the songs herself, some more for profit then cohesion as she was co-writer.
The sound quality is really quite poor on this cd, reminding me of the shoddy box set collection that Diana had a huge hand in. Certainly a world away from the well thought out and superb remastering of Streisands “For The Record” box collection.

We cannot compare Streisand to Ross.

One is a superb artist, intellect, and brilliant business woman, and the other is a mother and grandmother [[her personal claim to success) who had many great recordings decades ago. The later has little ability or desire to be much more than a granny who sings her old songs.

Barbra’s family is very important to her too.

Diana’s main influence was in the 60’s and 70’s and it was huge - take a look at the Billboard lists recently posted.

You can’t minimize the influence of Diana Barbra Aretha Beyonce Mariah Whitney. Making comparisons might be fun for some but it’s just an endless discussion and not always polite in the world of social media

Voice Of Love has the worst cover art since the Ross 1983 LP that's called by some as "The Bride Of" cover, exactly whose bride I dunno about, I'm sure! Bride Of 1983 perhaps??

As regards impact, i consider Diana the bigger musical star. Streisand probably has her beat in most other categories.

“I Hear The Voice Of Love”
Although i quite enjoy it, i always thought Diana’s voice a little raspy on her cover of “You Are Not Alone, especially when compared to “In The Ones You Love” where her vocal is clear and robust.
