Cindy Birdsong, Flip Wilson Repeats on Tubi.com

Tubi is a free streaming service that I recently discovered that carries a lot of vintage TV shows.

One of those shows are the four seasons of Flip Wilson. Unlike other Flip Wilson syndicated repeats, these shows only showcase the skits, not the music.

I have always remembered in 1971 when Jean, Mary and Cindy did his show, doing Love The One You're With, and Touch, how gorgeous Cindy looked. The skits the ladies did with Flip were available on those repeats except the one tag at the very end of the show in a skit with Flip and David Frost where Cindy descends a stairway as a sexy ghost, enticing a reluctant Flip.

Cindy was stunning. The Tubi repeats of this show have this brief skit in tact. Check it out.

it's so curious that Touch has been "lost" in these reruns. I certainly get it that LTOYW was a MUCH bigger song and so makes sense to show them singing that. but the same could be said for YWSSL. Lean On Me is a much bigger tunes but it's the "lost one" from that episode

Tubi is great. I’ve seen the Supremes on the Tarzan show, Diana on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson promoting “An evening with”, and also Diana on “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In”.

They might have gone with the more exciting song. Even though LEAN ON ME was a bigger hit, YWSSL is a more energetic performance.

Recently a lot of Flip episodes were released on dvd by Time-Life [I believe]. Thank goodness they are unedited but no Supremes, unfortunately.

maybe they'll do another wave of dvds and include the sups!

Jean looked very comfortable doing the Flip skits....especially the dept store one...Cindy was all grace and a wonderful smile...Mary looked great and played a bit more serious, and just wanted her all-a-gay-tor....
