    Charlie Puth: Marvin Gaye

This song plays constantly in our lobby at work, and I've always been curious: does anyone know what the Estate thinks of this? They're generally pretty sue happy, so I'm shocked I've never heard of a lawsuit.

lol. Thankfully the estate has never sued Charlie Puth over this song, as any artist is legally allowed to name Marvin Gaye in their song, without it being considered an infringement or having to pay royalties. Rap artists name famous people in their songs constantly. Charlie Puth did sample the song, "Stand By Me" in his song "Marvin Gaye", so he would be paying royalties for that.

It's a nice tribute to Marvin Gaye but I personally find this song annoying.
