It's 50 years since the Wigan Casino Club started holding Northern Soul allniters ... AND they're really celebrating the fact on BBC TV today ...
coverage on their 3 hr long morning BREAKFAST SHOW + pieces on their News slots every hour ...
the dancers were filmed live @ 6.47 am today !!!
BTW the venue they filmed at isn't typical of UK 1960's / 70's NS venues ... they were cellar type dives ... this place is Blackpool Tower Ballroom [[where our original version of DANCING WITH THE STARS is sometimes filmed).

BTW, the soul nights @ Wigan Casino didn't start in 1973 ... they'd hosted many soul stars some years earlier ... here's a contract for a live act @ Wigan Casino in 1968 ... Attachment 21022
