Seems a big deal - if it's already been posted on the Forum please ignore.

Motown Records strikes Metaverse partnership with Second Life and music for games platform Styngr.

The collaboration includes the launch of ‘Motown Records’, a new immersive music experience and venue within the Second Life virtual world.

The virtual venue, according to a media statement, will feature “in-world appearances by top classic and contemporary Motown artists”.

So it's a new way to enjoy classic Motown artists in a virtual venue. It's a digital immersive experience. I just hope it's not all game based.

Ok so I don't pretend to understand it all - but nevertheless it may turn out to be something great. Bound to cost money though. What do others understand by all this which comes on top of Motown again becoming a front line entity in 2021, the formation of a UK arm of Motown and the proposal to bring back the Tamla Records label. Seems like nothing is happening - yet everything is happening. Oh, and did I mention that 2024 is Tamla's 65th Birthday?
