    RIP Jimmy Buffett

Although we talk primarily soul music on this website, Jimmy was certainly an important figure in his genre. In fact, his "genre" may have been so hard to define that it made him the ambassador that he was. One thing is for sure.....both on record and in person, he always sounded like he was having the time of his life.

I heard the sad news about Jimmy Buffett's passing on Saturday. While he didn't do my kind of music, he was very well loved for his mix of Country, Soft Rock & Caribbean sounds [as well as his easy going 'beach bum' persona]. RIP Jimmy Buffett.
