Popcorn & the Motown Band -- 1959 recording

In 1959, Popcorn Wylie led the Motown Band on a couple of recordings. For some strange reason, these were only ever released in Australia & New Zealand.
"Rumble" is a strange uptempo R&R track that sounds nothing like a Motown cut. Could it be Choker Campbell on sax ?
That is a fact ... BUT what I'd like to know is ...
has it been documented who was in the Motown studio band back then [[1959). It was before some [[all ?) of the Funk Brothers were recruited to work @ Hitsville.
Someone here surely must be aware of these facts ...

Probably won't answer your query - but here is a previous thread on this record from the Forum. https://soulfuldetroit.com/showthrea...ghlight=leedon

. . . . Thanx. . . so it was Popcorn & his band on these recordings ... they would play on Motown tracks shortly afterwards but they weren't yet the Motown band.
THOUGH, Popcorn & his band would tour behind Motown acts on many live shows from the early 60's.
