Mary Wells My Guy in Italian

I'm looking at Italian archives on Motown and see that Durium planned a Mary Wells visit to Italy in 1964 on the back of the success of My Guy. An Italian version of the song was planned to be released to accompany her visit. I'm guessing the visit never happened because it was planned around her 21st birthday when she declared her coming of age resignation from Motown.

Italian singer Lucia Altieri released an Italian version of My Guy "Non ti scuso piu" shortly after. I'm wondering if Mary Wells version was recorded prior to her departure from Motown but never released.

Any insight on this from group members would be appreciated.

Some years ago a 2 cd Mary Well Lost and Found CD was issued. Between that and other cd issues that had her unreleased Motown material, I'm sure if she had done a vocal in Italian it would have shown. From what I gather after May 1964 Mary did little if any recordings for Motown

No, Mary never did an Italian vocal. The last thing she recorded for Motown was "WHen I'm Gone".
