i wonder about the movie costumes. Mackie did the things for Lady but are those part of the property of Paramount? wouldn't the studio or producer [[who funded the movie) have ownership of the outfits? and what about Mahogany then?

The black and white pin stripe jacket and hat outfit in the agents office from LSTB is is already in the Academy Museum on Wilshire blvd in Los Angeles as is a costume from The Wiz and blue fur trimmed suit with the hat in the Cafe Manhattan scene is in the African American Museum in DC.

She was seen out during the 70’s wearing a couple of the outfits from Mahogany, so guessing Motown had ownership.
