There is a new book, written by "former" SDF member Susan Whitall. There is an article and an excerpt from the book in today's Detroit News. The excerpt is a fascinating read, I am going to have to get this book, as there is too little information on Little Willie John, one of the best R & B singers of all time. I am wondering about a 'Phil Thompson' that is in the book and who was Little Willie John's friend as well as a fellow singer; did he sing with any Detroit groups?
