"Good Morning Heartache" by Diana Ross

Does anyone know the date of the recording of "Good Morning Heartache", as it appears on "The Lady Sings Blues" soundtrack? The beautiful pathos in this recording requires memorilization beyond my addiction to being mesmirized by its insightfulness of morning and pain.

The culmination of pathos regarding the reflective transcriptions of its lyrics remain conducive to monopolistic feelings of longing and regret. That’s what i reckon anyway.

i don't have that timeline unfortunately. but supposedly she started first with the music for the movie, prior to any rehearsals for the film. i would guess she started this in mid 71 maybe? wasn't she pregnant with Rhonda and preparing for the music?

The notes for the BLUE cd booklet say that Gil and Diana began recording the soundtrack for LADY in November 1971.

This has always been one of my favorite Diana vocals. A very beautiful rendition.

So much of the Lady music was top notch but I prefer other songs off Blue and Lady over Heartache - Lover Man, Strange Fruit, God Bless the Child, Our Love Is Here to Stay, Let’s Do It etc

I always avoided My Man for 20 or 30 years but I now realize that done live it is a showstopper

My English isn’t good enough for the highfallutin words
