    Rembering Mary Wilson on her Birthday

    Happy Heavenly Birthday to Mary Wilson. I'll always remember Mary for her work in The Supremes and on her own.

    I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: I’ve never met anyone who enjoyed life as much as mary wilson. She was kind, considerate of others, and had a genuinely sweet disposition. She also loved to party, and was always the life of the party. She loved men. And her pursuit of the things she loved, was never ending. She was always working towards some thing she wanted, and I admired her for that. She was fiercely protective of what she wanted and what she had. When she mounted sophisticated ladies, I was certain this was going to be the catalyst for a bigger career. She took that in stride as well. She was loyal to her friends. There were times when she indulged in her loves a little too much as many of us do. Of course it was another side to her that I rarely ever saw in person, but I’m thinking about the good things today. All of our lives should be as full and fulfilled as Mary’s.

    Motown Maniac, your post is a lovely rememberance of our Mary. She was indeed very kind and lovely to all. She was beautiful inside and out. Happy heavenly birthday, Ms Wilson <3

    I was watching this concert again recently. It remains to be my favourite. I had an audio recording of it for some years and was delighted to see that a video recording also existed, when it was uploaded a couple of years ago on YouTube. She was having issues with her in-ear monitor throughout, but made the best of the situation.

    @Carlo,

    Nice concert. Thanks for posting. I like how she did some material I wouldn't have expected like the Sting song and the standard "Body and Soul," both which seem particularly well suited to her voice. Also, she always thought of her fans. I loved how she asked to have that equipment moved so the people down front could see better. I liked the alternate material better than the Supremes oldies; they never sound right to me with Mary on lead, but I suppose she had to always include some of that. Loved the repertoire overall though.

    This is a worthy reminder of why Mary’s is so greatly missed. Like a fine wine she just got better with age. Ta for posting Carlo.

    I'll always admire Mary for being a survivor. She was an amazing entertainer and one of my all time favorite songs is her lead on "Don't Let My Teardrops Bother You". She was my third favorite Supreme lol but that's she's very close to being tied with Diana's second [[Flo tops both of them for me).

    Happy birthday to the sexy one.
