"The New Wiz" : Remastering and editing a classic film.

I can imagine this film being sold to another movie studio for restructuring. As the original movie lost money, the new owners could flip it into a blockbuster: "The New Wiz". There is a alot of show biz material in this movie. A re-edited movie could become a classic."Don't nobody bring me no bad news." It can be done!

    Michael would be happy.

There are a few things Diana did that never were among my favorites and the Wiz ranks high in that. Cross My Heart ranks high as well. Turn Me Over and We Are The Children of the World.

I'm not sure why anyone would sit through the Wiz.

Cutting all dialogue scenes entirely and just featuring the musical numbers would make for a far more pleasurable movie. Certainly one a little less boring. Perhaps an idea for an alternate dvd.

Not going to happen. More likely The Wiz could get a remake.

I did see it and remember thinking it was good. I especially liked that they included Stephanie Mills as Aunt Em.

All of this just reminded me that I found The Wizard of Oz boring too and don’t think I ever sat through it.
