As am I. Not my favourite Billy Eckstine Motown song, but interesting to see.

See if you can find 'The Answer is Love' - LOL.

I seem to remember Billy appearing on Top of the pops with his Stax 45 "Stormy"......

    Xtown,
I heard him sing this song once when he had a bad cold.
    The title was different, though.
I believe it was "Pribe of my Libe"

Snake-Would that be over 40 years ago? That brain of yours must still be in good shape!

Is this a first......talking about Billy Eckstine under the Motown thread? ??

I never thought Billy Eckstine was given his proper dues throughout his career except for Passing Strangers. Seemed always to be in the shadows of someone else.

But to this LP's, when I first heard "Fantasy"...I thought of Levi Stubbs immediately. Not ever knowing that it existed.

Billy also did a great "Thank You Love"....a song very close to the hearts of Henry Cosby's family and Stevie Wonder. I think Mrs Cosby told me Stevie sung it at her husband's rememberance.

He had a n amazing voice - only problem is the longer he sings, the more clothes she has on. That can't be right.
