I watched this last night. As always, the show was well done. I never really knew anything about Jean, aside from CLOSER THAN CLOSE. But it was nice to learn about her life and the esteem in which she is held.
Yes; Caught the episode on Sunday night and it was great. I learned a lot about Jean Carne & her work from the episode on Unsung.
Hi!
A good episode. I only wonder why her recent creditable work with the producer Butch Ingram [[Give It Up, Sings Philadelphia) in the 2010s was passed over.
Best regards
Heikki
Definitely a top-notch vocalist. Her take on the Spinners' "Love Don't Love Nobody" is magnificent!
Wow! What an enjoyable biography! I have all 4 of Jean's Philly-Soul albums/CDs as well as her sole Motown release, yet, until now, I had never seen her perform nor heard her speak. Such a sweet, down to earth, likeable lady. My only disappointment is that the biography didn't even mention her tribute to Van McCoy CD. They skipped right over it as though it didn't exist. Anyway, thanks for including this episode for us, Glencro. It was a real treat!
