Does anyone have any information on Sandra King? Did she make other records? Is she still singing? Any information about her would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

She went back to the singing she was trained in, Gospel [[Spiritual) Music. She has a Gospel concert clip on You-Tube, which was held in Texas.

Perhaps she lives there now, and may come from there, originally, if she is not from Nashville.

She was just a teenager when she recorded "Leave it Up To The Boys". She was still in High School. Her assistant producer was Robert Holmes, who worked out of Nashville. He was working for Bill Justis Productions [[I guess he was working out of Nashville on this project).

I don't know if she recorded any other songs. Usually they record 4 songs, to accommodate a second single [[usually an option for that release is included for the record company). I never saw another record under her name.

I also wonder if she was ever in a group that recorded.

I got copies of the master tapes from Bob and they were the only two of hers on it, though there were great unissueds on the Hytones, Freddie North and the Paramount Four. I think Bob did all his work, certainly all his 60s work, out of Nashville.

Thanks, Ady. Nobody seems to know anything about her. If they only recorded the 2 songs, there wasn't even an option on her follow-up release. She was such a good singer and they did such a great production on her. Yet they didn't even prepare for some success.

That must have been because her parents told them she couldn't leave school to appeal on the road. If so, why did they bother to record her on the 2 songs? [[similar situation to Motown with Carolyn Crawfors and Linda Griner) -I guess they just wanted the small profit from her record sales? What did Bill Justis get out of that? Wouldn't it have been better to give that great song to someone they could promote?
