What a superb vocal from Our Levi Stubbs! a track recorded in 1999 to promote The City of Detroit with The Stubbs Girl members Thelma Stubbs Mitchell and Sheila Stubbs Taylor - 'Better Than Ever Before' written by Sheila and brother Gregory Levi Stubbs, produced by Steven Jackson.

Each time I hear Levi sing his Soul out, as in the start of the track, tears still fill my eyes! Yes it shows The Stubbs Girls can sing, but I wish I had remained as at the start of the song, a ballad! and more of Levi!

Wow! Just Wow! This is a great production. I also shed some tears when Levi's voice entered. One take! Those ladies were also excellent.
