I guess I’ll miss the man promotion

I just ran across this ad and it reminded me of the amount of press the Supremes produced by Jimmy Webb received initially. It was hyped quite a bit, much more than the fact that they had just worked with smoky and there was almost no press except for a blurb in jet. Of course, I don’t think in its present form that this was material suitable for Pop radio play, they must have felt it had a Roberta Flack quality to it who was red hot at the time.
