I still have this on vinyl somewhere.
I only got to hear Lou when he joined Philly so i had to play catch up with his earlier recordings. I recall my delight when i picked up a copy of this album at a 2nd hand store in Manchester. Not heard it in over 40 years. Must rectify that.
Lou Rawls, I've said before, is probably one of the most over-looked singers in American
music...Gospel, jazz, blues, soul,even pop, he did it all. Loved his work with Ray Charles
too...
Definitely will give this a spin. My father LOVED Lou Rawls and I've grown to appreciate his voice and style. I don't know how everyone else feels but I'm in love with my streaming service.
