Which one do you prefer?
I loved them both as a child. However, I gotta go with Batman. Two words: Julie Newmar
Marc Taylor
Batman!
Batman was much hipper. Well actually Batman was kinda a square
but the show was hip. It was as colorful as a P-Funk show.
Batman went up against another fave of mine, Lost In Space. Now
if I had to choose between the 2, it'll be LIS
Love 'em both, but if I had to choose, it would be Batman...I always enjoyed the campiness.
Best,
Mark
Never saw superman but Batman was fab..that 60s movie with catwoman is great..love the coloured gas that knocks people out..and a shout out to the rubber shark....
Hi this is Kev-Lo
They both were great, But Batman did it for me. I remember when I could'nt wait to come home from school just to see Batman. I had the hots for Yvonne [[Batgirl) Graig and I loved Julie [[Catwoman) Newmar
Hands down, it's The Batman. The original must see TV when I was in single digits. I actually met Julie Newmar in LAX years later. We were both booked on the same flight. Meooooooow.
As our Cat would say........quit playing, BATMAN! All the way. LOL!
It's a dead heat for me. Both shows charm. I have both shows on DVD and I can watch them over and over.
"Great Ceaser's Ghost" Anybody remember that episode of Superman?
Of course I do.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaa, superman all the way, batman was such a letdown with it's silliness at least superman tried to play it streight and george reeves was a much better actor than adam west!
Neither. I haven't been 12 in a long time.
Like age has anything to do with it. Batman, back when it was on ABC was the most popular show amongst the college crowd.
I heard that! It was a phenomenon. It was pop culture! To me, it was serious programming that I had to watch every week.......hehehehehe..... Memba this?
Batman was a big deal when I was in 1st ,2nd & 3rd grade. I just hated
that it went up against another favorite of mine, Lost In Space
Dig this> http://www.tvparty.com/fallbatman.html
And as for Superman, who can forget that one I Love Lucy episode?
Look,up in the sky-it's bird,it's a plane-it's superman...yes superman who could change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands and who dicuised as mildmannered clark kent fought a neverending battle for truth justice and the american way!!
A slightly abbreviated opening, but nice nonetheless.
So how do you feel about the darkness in the Christian Bale films as compared to the TV series?
The Dark Knight is an absolute masterpiece. They finally got it right and they finally made a superhero flick for adults. It maybe the greatest superhero flick ever.
In terms of establishing what Batman represents in contemporary terms, definitely.
Good point about Supes. However, I take issue with his alter ego, Clark Kent. Come one! It's Supes, with glasses on! That was my thinking back then. The Margot Kidder Superman addressed that issue perfectly. Everytime Lois started to make the obvious connection, he high tailed it!
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa,say to yourself...it's only a comic book,it's only a comic book!!
