A good thought-provoking question to pose to the group. Many of my choices are instances in which the LP does not open with the biggest hit, but instead sets the tone of the album:
Gettin’ Ready For Love - Baby It’s Me - A perfect start for an LP that is a rarity; 9 of the 10 songs are joyful, in-love songs instead of painful loss of love lyrics.
Try It Baby - Join The Temptations
Stranger In Paradise - Symphony
No One Gets The Prize - The Boss
Ask Any Girl - Many may feel this is a waste since AAG was already on WDOLG, but if the song had to be included, opening the LP subtlety suggests it’s a continuation of the previous LP.
