Wasn’t it the Miracles on one of their albums?
Wasn’t it the Miracles on one of their albums?
The Miracles recorded their first version in August 1966.
The Isley's claimed to have recorded it too. I guess Norman wiped their vocals from the track 'cause their version doesn't exist anymore.

Do u have faves grape? How u been?
Don’t think the Isleys would have recorded it to the same backing track as the Tempts’ version. The Isleys I reckon made their last recordings at Motown in 1967. The Temptations’ version has that 1968/69 Whitfield Cloud Nine sound. His productions didn’t sound like that in 67
The Isleys never recorded a version.
Grape, some of the acts you listed never recorded 'Grapevine' they only sung it live on TV shows. e.g. Dusty, Amy & Paul, Fairport Convention. You missed out my fav version by the Slits
I love the Slits' version!
Ok here luke ...hope all's good with you ...I hear so many versions these days ...this is probably my current favourite ...enjoy...!
