So I did my research and apparently, MJ wanted to give Richard his masters back, but was unable to due to issues beyond his control. I remember doing a paper for a pop music course I took in college. At the time, Richard was doing ads for this chicken restaurant called “Zaxby’s”, which is a regional chain. I pointed out that he’s doing those ads instead of enjoying his retirement, because of how much he, and several of his other contemporaries, we’re screwed over.
