Soul Intention is a U.K. based record label ran by Ian Dewhirst and Phil Dick [[two veteran Northern Soul DJ’s} who issue never-before released or rare releases songs from various artists. They are unique as they only issue 45 singles and not CDs. They have also re-released material originally issued on Kent Washburn and Michael L. Smith's label EmKay Records. Their label design is based on the design of Parkway Records' design.

Jack020 thank you! That goes a long way toward solving this mystery for me. Would this Four Tops song been specifically recorded for Soul Intention? It sounds like it could be from the late 70s when Disco was popular.

Love Enough to Care isn't a bad song; in fact, it kinda grows on you. I think it could have been a mild hit.

It was recorded at The Sound Suite, Detroit. Anyone know where or what this is? Never heard of it.

It is a popular Detroit recording studio. Aretha Franklin recorded there often.

This should have been a smash. It's phenomenal.

OK, guys, I dont know how much help this will be, but here goes. This song was released on a George Clinton LP called Testing Positive 4 the Funk, in1993. However, in checking the details for this song it lists The Four Tops as Artist, but has the year 1978 in parenthesis. So to me, that means it's a 1993 release of a 1978 recording. Maybe I'm wrong. That's all I got.

I knew it sounded like something that would have been out during the Disco era and 1978 was the height of the Disco era. Thank you Fourtopsjim!

Welcome back fourtopsjim. I am thrilled you resurfaced. You have been missed on the Motown Forum.

Since you were our "link" to the Fourever Four Tops Podcast featuring the cool DJ Anthony, do you have any knowledge when the podcast will come back? It was such a great podcast and he really did an outstanding job. I hope it soon comes back. Tell him that he is missed. And was greatly appreciated.

Sad to say,I believe the Podcast is a thing of the past. I havent spoken to Anthony in almost a year. In fact, I spoke to him around 5:40pm on Jine 6th, Levi's birthday. We had just finished a special podcast dedicated to Levi's BD, and he texted me that he was uploading it. An hour later, I texted him, and he was gone. Never heard from him. again. I dont even know if he's ok. I've tried to reach him many times in the last year, but to no avail. If anyone out there has success in finding people, I would love the help.

I have that George Clinton album. I figured GC got to include the Four Tops song because
Ron Dunbar himself brought it to him when he joined P-funk's stable of behind the scenes folks.
Anyway, I learned something today that surprised me. Apparently there are 3, not 2 as I
long assumed Otis Williams in the music business. That Otis Williams on the record is neither the Tempt or the Charm, some younger cat I never heard....
