I have a thing about sound that muffles or eliminates the top frequencies - like those old cassette tapes when they were copied too many times....

Are they the same as what we called cartridges? No one I knew used them.

Yes. Was looking at an old car not long ago. Lo and behold there was an 8 track player. And it still worked!!!

Was the sound quality of 8 tracks/cartridges better than the cassette tapes?

Funny how we never really know our luck in anything, until we look back and then realise it in hindsight- or someone else brings it to our attention.

Just too busy at the time, I guess...!

I'd rather do something and get the benefit.

Not doing something, and therefore suffering no loss by default [[but no chance of benefit either) seems negative to me, somehow....

True! Luck is all around us, and in plentiful supply, yet doesn't exist until we recognise it.

    Strange thing, perception.

If you get a hole in one, don't you have to buy everyone a drink rather than get a free one?

It depends on how the occasion is perceived, and by whom.

If it's your birthday, some will celebrate by buying you a drink. And some expect you to celebrate it by buying THEM one. Cheapskates!

As milk can sometimes upset the digestion of feline pussy cats, then pie, cookie and cake would do exceptionally well as a treat, please - speaking just for this particular human form of pussy cat, of course.

And especially if any are made at home.

Do we have any home bakers here?

Those lemon bars were my father's favorite!!! I must look for the recipe!!

7layer bars have a layer of graham cracker with melted butter, coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, Eagle Brand condensed milk, nuts. Simple!

Yes, look! And I'll look forward to that lemon bar recipe.

Will think about those 7 layer bars. They sound l-o-a-d-e-d. Coconut sounds good. Presumably there's a reason for using condensed milk....

I think that may also include me.

Here on SDF, I think we're only made aware when we're advised by email that our mailbox is full, because someone has attempted to send us a personal message Otherwise, it seems we just have to monitor the totals......

Well Moe, speaking for myself,I couldn't say I do such a lot of personal messaging, and certainly am not one for networking, although I much appreciate the SDF 'friends' I do have.

It's just that I don't immediately delete the messages, and I also keep copies of the 'sent' ones, so the maximum of 50 can be reached steadily over a period of time.
