Anyone else hear some Motown in this one?
Anyone else hear some Motown in this one?
Dan was definitely influenced by 60s R&B on that album so yeah I hear it a little.
What an underrated talent he was! I Can Dream About You is STILL that bop!
Is he the one who wrote It's Never Too Late for Diana Ross?
I hear Hall and Oates in this.
Thanks for sharing this Tom Tom ! Don't know the song and enjoyed seeing Dan Hartman in a video, although I have to say that pointless, contrived videos , of which this is an exact example, , made solely to get a song played on MTV, was another reason 80's music became a turn off for me.
You’re welcome Boogie! The whole album has a Hall & Oates feel about it, especially "I Can Dream About You", as Dan originally wrote it with them in mind, apparently!
^ H&O eventually did record it years later but by then, Dan was unfortunately gone.
Y'all know he produced James Brown's final pop hit, right?
