I forgot to mention Jeff & Ellie's launching of Red Bird Records in 1964 as another reason to [[temporarily) stop working with Phil Spector. And yes; Phil Spector was far from the only record company owner/executive to claim songwriting credit on a song they played only a small part in writing [[or playing no part in writing for that matter).
