Bobby Lewis 'Tossing & Turning" once lived in Detroit

I just recently learned that Bobby Lewis, now 94 years old [a record old age for a singer?] once lived in Detroit for a good portion of his life. Although he was born in Indianapolis, he moved to Detroit after being adopted and left Detroit in 1961 just as Motown was starting to bloom. I can't help but wonder if he would have had any success at Motown had he been able to obtain an audition with Motown. I am certain everyone remembers Tossing & Turning.
It's a great song. Any thoughts on this?

The Supremes eventually covered Bobby's song "Tossin' and Turnin'" on their 1972 album "The Supremes Produced by Jimmy Webb". They performed it in their concerts for years afterwards.

I think Bobby would have been given an audition with Motown and signed. He had the talent.

The Marvelettes did "Tossin' & Turnin"" as part of their LIVE act in early 60's, in fact on Marvelletes LIVE LP they do it.

Now that's a song that I don't hear on dusty radio stations. I remember very clearly where I was living in Chicago when that song came out.
