Oars are very expensive these days, 2nd highest after hockey sticks. I played hockey in Manitoba through Midget, into Junior A. If I were to go that far today, I'd have had to sell drugs to finance my equipment and ice fees. I'd have had to get a scholarship to even attend university [[whereas, I attended UCLA, and U. of B.C. for absolutely no money from 1965-1972).
