Little known fact about[bonanza]guy williams who joined the cast as[wil cartwright]adam's replacement was first chosen portray adam but he chose to star in his own series[zorro].

Presumably his starring part in Zorro didn't last too long, otherwise he wouldn't then have been available to join Bonanza?

Actually the series[zorro]from walt disney was very popular and ran for two seasons before tv politics got it canned...poor guy williams it was fan mail that got him canned, adam's character was so popular that the fans started a massive writing campaine to keep him on the show...[that and a clause in his contract for another season]and for some reason the other cast members didn't like guy, well guy williams went on to star in[lost in space]which did wonders for his career, while bonanza without wil or adam cartwright ran for another eight years.

Bonanza seems to have been the much bigger show, at least in terms of longevity.

Sounds as if Guy W was really a substitute character, and Pernell Roberts then stayed on longer than originally intended - so GW was out.

Some internal politics at work there, no doubt.....

Pernell roberts fancied himself a great shakesperian actor[maybe he should've moved to the uk]and thought he was above the show.

Pernell Roberts had charisma on screen, and held strong principles off screen.

I wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave and work in the theatre, which was where his career began. His skills as an actor were never going to be fully utilised on Bonanza. I believe his contract did not permit him to work elsewhere while appearing in the show.

But he never did anything note worthy after bonanza, and it was twenty years before he got another series[trapper john,md].

There's more to acting and show business than appearing on TV, as many make a good living in legit theatre or performing music onstage.

That said, if you're not seen on TV, many do wonder if you're dead.....

"Standing out here in these woods in the dark" - ?!

I doubt that Rubard Frisk was there, simply waiting to see dawn break, or the corner store open for business.....

Ah yes, but so, too, is the Atlantic Ocean.

Your poetry isn't yet rhyming. Neither does it scan [[like a faulty bar code).

The words are good, though. I'd file it under 'miscellany' at the moment.
