    its fontella bass and the album is "the new look" on chess,i have the 7" also on chess,although i thought there was a "rescue me" lp,but i cant find it anywhere.

    Don't know about any LP entitled "Rescue Me", but there is certainly "The New Look"...I have it, have had it for several years. As for the Harner album, I think the only album by him is on Open [["She's Almost You"), and that is a BITCH to find, from what I gather.

    There was a "Very Best Of Fontella Bass" C.D. released in the U.K. by Universal/Chess in 2006.

    But, if you want the full length of the "Rescue Me" song, the only way to get it is on the original Checkers 45. The full length has a longer bass riff at the end where all CD versions, plus the reissue 45, fades it too early. On top of that, there are at least two stereo mixes of the song, but only one of them matches the mono 45. The stereo mix with the wide stereo and lots of reverb is the correct mix.
