Skip [[Van Winkle) Knape passes

This will interest Detroit rock fans more than Detroit soul fans, but aparently Skip Knape, the Van Winkle to Dave's Teegarden, passed away in California yesterday. A VERY good Hammond B-3 player, Skip and Dave teamed up and played many clubs in Detroit before teaming up with Bob Seger [[and Mike Bruce) to form what was called the STV Band in the early 70's.

Oh wow, I am more that sorry to say I had forgotten about them. They were great musicians and Skip fit right in with his talent. Rest in peace Skip.
