Great interview as always. I caught it last night. I wish I had known when she was in the studio taping it. I would have tried to sneak over, as I used to work there.

I vaguely remember some item that Bettye was writing a book. Is this true? If so, what is the status? Until then, a concert dvd would be nice. I saw her at Joe's Pub last month, and as always, I was blown away.

Reese, the book is getting closer to happening than it's ever been. I'll keep you guys posted.
As for a Live DVD, nothing in the planning stages yet.
For those in the NYC area, she will be doing an engagement at The Cafe Carlyle with her full Detroit band.
May 24 - May 28, off May 29 & 30, then May 31 - June 3.
She'll be putting some songs in the show from her past that have not been performed with her band.
