Martha’s performances these days are truly one of a kind and almost surreal. No one but her has the courage, nerve and self belief to get on stage and sing all the great hits the way she does. Martha manages to make the songs feel & sound totally different from back in the golden years when she first wore that dress. It really is quite extraordinary! People who haven’t seen her recently are in for the shock of their lives. Long may she rattle her tambourine.

I agree my dear. Shes Motowns greatest ambasador and at almost 77 long may she continue to grace the stage and thrill audiences.

Can’t really disagree with any of these comments

Background singers can be a godsend when you get old

Not sure I’d say this is Martha at her worst though

Martha remains very popular here in the UK, and is held in great affection by fans of Motown.

I go to see her show whenever I can. Last time was in November, and she was on top form. She, Lois and Delphine stayed after the show for two hours, until everyone waiting had been greeted.

I remember doing my school homework to Martha's songs over 50 years ago.

So, not only do I feel Martha and I go back a long way with her recordings, she carries a lot of my life history with her.

She represents a loving keeper of Motown memories, for so many fans.

I don't believe people only attend Martha's concerts to hear her sing.

They take each and every opportunity they can, simply to be with her.

That's awesome and she should be commended for it; and it is what is great about Motown and all that went through it. You would never get this type of public warmth from Diana or Stevie or Lionel but you can get it from Louvain, Martha, Mary, Joe Billingslea etc.
