From reports, legendary "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin will be feted by a musical tribute at this year's Grammy Awards. Among the performers paying tribute to Ms. Franklin include Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson. Contrary to reports that Franklin will be at the actual ceremony, Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman claims Franklin won't be there but will instead send a video message during the telecast. As been reported, Franklin, 68, canceled performances and personal appearances last November and had surgery on a mysterious ailment on December 2. Rumors have run rampant that Franklin is suffering from pancreatic cancer and went through the Whipple surgery. Other rumors state Franklin may have had gastric bypass surgery. Franklin wasn't clear on what she suffered from but said she noticed a hard pain at her side and her doctors advised her to cut from performances until May 2011. Franklin has also lost a massive amount of weight following this surgery it's been reported. Franklin has also done a recent photo shoot for JET to explain her recovery. From what has yet to be known.
