Along with Mama's Pearl and Sugar Daddy
Marv2 and lockhartguy, you guys mentioned the exact titles I would have listed!!! Michael's vocal expression and stylings at the beginning of "Maybe Tomorrow" are just spectacular. "My beautiful bird, you have flown away. I held you too tight, I can see." You can't get more intimate than that.

That's easy-all i do is think of you, their coolest ever!!
"I Found That Girl"
"One More Chance"
How 'bout some FUNK! Yes... love it...
MOTOWN DISCO! Love this one
I think this track is a great cover:
they consistently made good records....but being a Supremes fan, I was hoping they wouldn't get 5 #1's in a row. Even though I got them when they were new, I'll leave ABC and Sugar Daddy out of my favs these days....I did like the cover of The Love That I Saw In You Was Just A Mirage on the Third Album. Favs: I Want You Back, The Love You Save [[this is their You Cant Hurry Love and Nowhere to Run...it defines the Motown Sound for me), Never Can Say Goodbye and I'll Be There.I loved Dancing Machine and Enjoy Yourself too....and Ben is a ballard classic for me.
I have quite a few so need to really narrow it down I guess
Who's loving you [[I want you back B side version)
Can I see you in the morning
Get it Together
It's too late to change the time
Through Thick n Thin
I am Love
They were at their best when Michael and Jermaine went back and forth, trading the lead briefly at points.
jeez I don't even know where to start... I'll stick to 5 for now...
[[Come 'Round Here) I'm the One You Need
Man's Temptation
Oh I've Been Bless'd
It's Your Thing
25 Miles
Countless others though... Most of my favorites are earlier Bobby Taylor or Hal Davis produced covers.
I sure wish I had saved those cutout records on the backs of the cereal boxes! I also remember hearing a great number of songs I would have probably never heard just by watching their Saturday morning TV show.
"I Want You Back" is also a favourite of mine and also one of the best songs ever in the world, lol
As for the post-Motown Jacksons, try "Do What You Wanna", philly disco excellence!!!
Also, anyone else noticed the spelling mistake in the thread title...?
[said with blatant mischeviousness!]

Some of my current J5 faves....
It's Too Late To Change The Time
I Am Love
What You Don't Know
ABC
The Love You Save...
Though, I'd better stop before I rattle off every J5 song in the known universe. LOL
Pretty much as a nice little memory from the 70s. They did good job with it, it was just at the time I was not into cover versions of songs I actually remembered from the first. You have to understand, I was 15 years old then. Someone remade "I Only Want to Be With You" in the 70s and I liked it mainly because I did not remember the original recording.
Although not officially a J5 number but MJ solo, I'm still crazy about "I Wanna Be Where You Are." [[And it does sound like the J5).
With The Jackson 5 there's so many great songs to choose from. Anyway, my picks:
"Honey Love"
"Forever Came Today"
"Body Language"
"I Am Love"
"All I Do Is Think Of You"
Actually, here's one more of my faves that I forgot. How could I forget this, as this is one of the mixes I'm most proudest of creating.
One of my all time favorite groups. I could do a huge list but I'll stick to a handful of favorites:
I Want You Back
Zip A Dee Do Dah
La La Means I Love You
ABC
Maybe Tomorrow
Looking Through the Windows
Darling Dear
Never Can Say Goodbye
Love Song to You
I Am Love
Life of the Party
And "Frosty the Snowman" is a part of all of my Christmas mixes every year.
Interesting that my favourite J5 record has been listed by a few people
Maybe tomorrow.
It was never a single release in the UK [[it was a B side) and it still remains my favourite.
I also liked "Love song" the B side to 'Lookin' through the windows' [[which I also liked).
One more chance [[yet another B side)
To know [[another B side)
Corner of the sky [[I don't think this was a single in the UK)
Skywriter
It's too late to change the time
If you guys can indulge me for a minute, I would like to share a couple more Jackson-related remixes that aren't from their Motown era [[and I thought it would be inappropriate to post otherwise, but as we're talking about the group as a whole, and others have posted non-Motown Jacksons material, I thought it would be ok if I'd share.)
First, here's a reworking of Shake Your Body. If you thought the album or 12" versions weren't long enough, here's my 11 1/2 minute monster mix. Hang on for the ride and enjoy!
And one solo Michael for you as well, a disco remix of Rock With You. It amazes me that nothing from his Off The Wall album was remixed for 12". This is my attempt to correct that. BTW, I also did a remix of P.Y.T., and if anyone is interested in hearing it, I would be glad to share it. Anyway, enjoy the music everyone!
i'm not as familiar with their lp tracks. but I Want You Back is my fav. just an incredible song. never tire of hearing it
but some others i like:
Forever Came Today
The Love You Save
Hallelujah Day
Corner of the Sky
Can You Feel It [[post motown)
J5 only
I Want You Back
Who's Loving You
Can You Remember
ABC
2-4-6-8
Young Folks
The Love You Save
I'll Be There
Goin' Back to Indiana
Darling Dear [[especially with Jamerson's BASS! that was one of the COLDEST bass riffs ever!)
La La Means I Love You [[MJ with the early falsetto!)
Ready or Not [[Here I Come) [[Fun fact: The Fugees actually interpolated from the J5 version, hence Lauryn's "UH-HUH's" imitating MJ's)
Never Can Say Goodbye
Maybe Tomorrow
It's Great to Be Here
Don't Let Your Baby Catch You Foolin' Around
Lookin' Through the Windows
To Know
Don't Say Goodbye Again
Get It Together
It's Too Late to Change the Time [[the start of the "MJ hiccup". A 14-year-old shouting IT'S TOO LATE-DAH! lol)
Dancing Machine [[long version with that "thank you master for turning me on" robot lol)
Mama I Gotta Brand New Thang
Hum Along & Dance [[early disco hit)
Whatever You Got I Want
Life of the Party
If I Don't Love You This Way [[probably my favorite J5 song ever... man Michael was COLD as a kid; love his balladry during this period)
I Am Love [[Jermaine's finest moment ever in the J5 and MJ bringing it up after it became a disco jam)
All I Do Is Think of You
Forever Came Today
Body Language
We're Here to Entertain You [[mainly for MJ's vocal ad-libs at the end lol)
MJ's
Ain't No Sunshine [[no shade on Bill Withers but I prefer MJ's version to his)
Got to Be There
I Wanna Be Where You Are
In Our Small Way
Maria
Everybody's Somebody's Fool
Ben
People Make the World Go Round
You Can Cry on My Shoulder
Rockin' Robin
With a Child's Heart
Up Again
Music and Me
All the Things You Are
We're Almost There [[probably my favorite solo MJ Motown song but maybe that's because of the DJ Spinna version but I LOVE the original)
Take Me Back
One Day in Your Life
Just a Little Bit of You
You Are There
Dear Michael
I'll Come Home to You
You've Really Got a Hold on Me [[the original 1973 recording; not that 1984 rehash! UGH what was Motown THINKING with that?!)
Love's Gone Bad
----
But yeah, the J5 had some of the best discographies of any Motown act in the history of the label imho.
There was a reason MJ was a legend before he joined Epic.
Of course I can get into the Jacksons' material too [[and that would be another long list) and of course the MJ solo stuff when he joined Epic but that would be another long list lmao
LEGENDS.
DJMoch, how about a remix for "Blame It On the Boogie"?
I liked most of Michael Jackson's solo work. It is no mystery to me why he became the most successful artist to come from Motown.
