    Nancy wilson

l've been asking for years when Nancy Wilson's All In Love Is Fair LP would be issued on CD. That LP and Come Get to This will be paired and issued by Soulmusic.com. on Feb. 22. I think that's David Ritz's label.

All in Love...was one of Miss Wilson's best sellers at Capitol. It was more mainstream R&B and featured arrangements by Gene Page, and session work by Ray Parker Jr. & Honeycone.

I'm looking forward to the release of these two albums, but my all-time favorite Nancy Wilson album is 1973's I Know I Love Him. Nancy gave our Brenda a run for the money on Can I?. This album also includes Don't Misunderstand, We Can Make It Baby [Originals-MG], I Was Telling Him About You [the original], The Laughter and the Tears, Easy Evil, etc. This was such a great album for cuddling or slow dancing. The only weak song on the album was the title. Hurry, Hurry before I'm too old to enjoy the CD release!

Does Nancy Wilson do meet and greets with her fans after a performance?

I think Ms. Wilson retired. There were some health issues a few years ago. She was reportedly enjoying being a grand mother. Correct me if I'm wrong.

One of my favorite Nancy Wilson moments was the performance of Don't Ask My Neighbor on the Arsenio Hall Show. She was backed by a chorus of about 30 R&B artists and super stars who were there to show their love for her.

I have always been amazed at how prolific Nancy was, despite not having the traditional mainstream [[pop) following. If all her albums were to be re-issued on CD, it would take one company a life time to finish the project! I am so glad I was fortunate enough to see her in concert once.

Nabob, Miss Nancy still does a few select dates a year, but not the heavy touring she once did. She's scheduled for BB King's in NYC this June. She performed in Memphis last year , last summer, and was gracious with fans.

Not the same Nancy Wilson. Her fans know you add "Miss" Nancy Wilson when you want to look up the jazz and pop singer on Amazon.com.

I believe the song mentioned by nabob, I WAS TELLING HIM ABOUT YOU, is from the standard, I WAS TELLING HER ABOUT YOU, done to perfection by Marvin Gaye on his WHEN I'M ALONE I CRY album.

I once played Nancy Wilson's magnificent GUESS WHO I SAW TODAY, immediately followed by Marvin's I WAS TELLING HER ABOUT YOU and was surprised and amazed how well they go together--in fact, it sounds like Marvin is answering Nancy's accusations, lol. I love Nancy Wilson. Pure class

I also enjoy her cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Kathy's Song" from that album.
