I may have heard this song somewhere way back, but I do not remember. Can anyone tell me anything about these "Temptions"?

Venessa Williams and Vanessa E Williams I believe
Spinners [[England)
and Spinners [[USA)
Oh those are some good ones Luke and Lockhartgary! LOL!!!
Nice pic of Mary. I used to wonder why she always used the Supremes' name in her billing in one form or another. I actually thought that maybe she felt that her name alone did not carry enough weight.
Eventually I realized that maybe it was to avoid confusion of the other Mary Wilsons out there. [[There is also a Mary Wilson soprono opera singer)
I wonder if she ever considered just adding a middle intial to her name. Michael Fox had to add a middle initial to his name because Actors Equity alrready had a Michael Fox. He became Michael J Fox. [[the "J" stamds for nothing)
Mary J Wilson sounds nice. Or Mary K Wilson. Too late now. She is Mary Wilson of the Supremes.
...not to be confused with Mary Wilson, the wife of British Prime Minister, Harold Wilson.
Thanks Marv! What’s Mary’s middle name?
Good post,i thought the other[temps]were from the [uk].

And here's another group called The Miracles;
I found it at Discogs. And yes, there were a lot of artists/groups that had the same names as the Motown Artists that we know & love. Here's a link to that page where I found "The Miracles" single.

And here's yet another group called "The Temptations".
Once Motown's Temptations became big, no one else could assume their name. Too much to live up to!
That's true in more ways than one! Motown Records would register the name "The Temptations" once the group established itself in the mid '60s [[although according to Otis Williams, they did this without the group's consent and it wasn't mentioned in their original contract with the company).
