Now we know where the gold records are that the Marvelettes never received. They are not the only Motown artists whose memorabilia is among the missing.

OH my, what is this guy doing!? Hiding Motown memorabilia?!! What!
Wow! This is terrible & I hope that the Civil Rights & Motown memorabilia can be recovered [[and the person responsible for stealing it is punished).
I doubt very much these are valuable gold record awards...Motown [[was among many other record companies that) didn't submit documentation to the RIAA...Didn't Marvin un-frame one of his gold records and play it and find out it was a Supremes 7"? I believe I read that long ago in "Divided Soul" Even the ones pictured in the 5 LP Motown Story booklet with the notation "The 2nd Decade Has Begun" didn't have the RIAA certification title plaque or insignia I've seen on other artists true gold record displays. These are most likely standard records spray painted gold and given to artists/writters etc. as milestone markers and display pieces.
Exactly correct, gman.
Thanks for responding Ralph...thanks for keeping this forum going.
