I just returned from the Ann Arbor Record Show, and was able to chat with several of the people that were here for the Go-Go Festival. I met several from England, as well as a man from Sweden. Evidently a bus was used to bring those that wanted to attend the record show, a short drive from Detroit.
An added bonus for those attending the show, including myself, was that many dealers were catering to the Motown/Northern Soul crowd and brought all of their best related merchandise. I spent more than I should have, but figured the stuff I was seeing probably wasn't brought to every show so better buy it when I saw it.

That is a very nice story. I remember meeting people from the U.K. in Detroit at the Detroit Historical Museum for the "Motown in Black and White" exhibit a few years ago. Melvin Davis was there, along with several other classic Motown artists and family members.
