    Good News On My Mom!

For those of you who remember [[from the Old Forum) I'd told you about my Mom who is in the final stages of Kidney Failure. Well, today, her Doctor told her that she's good for 2 years or more! The doctor wants her to eat more protein foods, keep away from foods high in potassium, & eat more ice cream, honey, peanut butter. She wants her to start gaining weight instead of losing weight. Mom doesn't need to see the doc [[Kidney Specialist) for another year! So, thanks to all of you who have prayed; and PLEASE DON'T STOP PRAYING! God bless each one of you! He definitely hears our prayers!!!! [[Just "had" to share this good news with you!)

i'm glad for your mom Ms. Joys. I have a family member facing kidney failure. Doctors said they detected a mass on my brother's left kidney last year. But they've been slow to say definitely if it's malignant. They want to operate but he hasn't lost much weight, he eats like a horse at times and has gotten stronger when he's supposed to be weakening. We're getting more opinions.

Motown_M: Keep the Faith... and may there be volumes of good news to come!

msjoys: not only is the news of your mom's wellness a cause for celebration, but you are obviously a cause of celebration for your mom and everyone who is an advocate for real family love, or "goturbackness"! And what a dream prescription to get from a doctor! Much happiness to you.

WOW...her doctor WANTS her to eat ice cream, peanut butter and honey? I should have her doctor...mine wants me to go on the DASH diet and cut back on the sodium and also to limit my alcohol consumption to two beers whenever I go out!

But this isn't about me, it's about your Mom, Ms. Joys, and I'm glad to see that things are working out. I'll have to remember to pray for her. God Bless you both!

    Best,

    Mark
