Get Ready for The Duck

This morning I was reading my "Number 1 Billboard R & B Hits" book and got to the Temptations "Get Ready" entry. The writeup stated that the song was similar to "The Duck", a song by Jackie Lee, and was written to capitalize on the Duck dance. I listened to the song on YouTube and did notice musical similarities.

Does anyone remember dancing the Duck to "Get Ready"?

Smokey is on record as stating that Get Ready was written after he heard The Duck...and wanted to replicate that 'feel'.

No. In high school we did a line dance to Get Ready and as I recall the Duck was different... kind of webbing your feet lol!
