Mary actually wore a 'fro from about 1970--1974. There's photos available and there's also a TV appearance on Dick Cavett Show where she did My Guy and A Brand New Me in 1973. I can't, however, find it on youtube, but this Hy Lit Show performance is also on youtube for Dig The Way I Feel.
