Yet, it is possible because Motown was very disappointed in the album sales for both Diana Ross, the new supremes, the four tops, Edwin Starr, David Ruffin and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas… And not wanting to get stuck with product just to flood the cut out bins, Motown was being very cautious with initial album orders.
