Were "Come To Me" and "Merry-Go-Round" released on 78?

Were "Come To Me" by Marv Johnson and "Merry-Go-Round" by Eddie Holland released on 78 by UA? I've seen a label scan of the Marv Johnson single, and have heard rumors of the Eddie Holland single existing on 78. Of course we know Money made it to 78 on Anna records, so I'm inclined to believe it was possible. I don't believe Motown itself ever had a 78 pressed.

Anyone ever actually see these two titles on UA 78s?

I couldn't find anything on the Discogs website for a 78RPM release on either "Come To Me" or "Merry-Go-Round".

Discogs is notoriously inaccurate. I don't believe they list the "Money" 78, but that's known to exist.

I've found what might be a label scan of "Come To Me" on 78.

45Worlds has details of a 78 issue of "Money" on Anna Tamla Junkie, complete with a scan of the "A" side label.

Thanks Roger. I have a copy of "Money" on 78 so I was pretty well convinced of its existence.

What I'm more curious about are the supposed UA 78s. Unfortunately I can't find much info aside from a very blurry label scan of the Marv Johnson single.

Yes but very brittle. They would easily break

My mistake; Discogs doesn't have anything info on a 78RPM issue of "Money", however, the label scan from the 45 Worlds site proves it does exist [[and the scan you found might prove that there was a 78RPM pressing of "Come To Me").

I seem to recall reading that the Phillipines were pressing 78's well into the early 60's
