    Tarzan

The episode of "Tarzan" was recently shown on cable in the San Francisco Bay Area [[H&I channel Heroes & Icons). [[Set your Comcast cable DVR under Diana Ross and you get all sorts of surprises whenever she appears on any program). This version was in color. But if I recall correctly, it was originally black & white). The ladies harmonize beautifully on the opening number, "Michael Row the Board Ashore"[[sp.) in fact, I had forgotten they each had a solo portion. Of course, Diana's acting performance was light years away from "Lady Sings the Blues". It is sorta campy. Historically, the episode was the highest rated of the popular series. The songs [[2) are not so memorable, but, it is one of the rare times Diana, Mary and Cindy can be heard harmonizing. Oh and don't forget the great James Earl Jones. He and Diana have a few fun scenes. Regardless, it is wonderful to have it in great resolution on a flatscreen.
