Grandma grew up in the hills of North Carolina. My lineage is direct enough that I'm thinking about applying for tribal rights. The rest of y'all are trying to jump on this train with me but I doubt your tickets are legit.

My grandmother use to claim Cherokee and I'm pretty sure I'm OLDER than you. My grandmother also had "good hair" and high cheekbones and also claimed we were related to Eartha Kitt. HAHAHAHA [[My grandmother lived in Columbia, SC but was born in St. Matthews) It's still part of the family lore among my cousins.

I just remembered something. When I was a kid I went to see an outdoor play called, Unto These Hills that was somewhere in the Mountains of NC. I don't remember a lot about it but I just looked it up and it WAS about the Cherokee.

LOL....my bad. For whatever reason when I think of tribes in NC I think of the Lumberton area. I didn't hang out that much in the western part of the state.

For sad historical context, the Trail of Tears is particularly bitter among the Cherokee of North Carolina, whereas many died while being sent west by the US government.

Gee guys now i want to put on some war paint...oh and for the record my grandfather on my mother's side was -[you guessed it]cherokee-so i got some in me too..i hate that racist name too but i'm a fan of the team inspite of themselves[last team to have a black player-bobby mitchell-1962,yes i know the history but i was born and raised in d.c. Ironically, when I first got into football the Colts were one of my faves. Then they up and left and my love affair with them was over.
